Ministries
We offer a variety of programs to help you to grow closer to the Lord such as Bible studies, a prayer meeting, and a Sunday kids' programs are a few examples in which you can get involved. We encourage you to come along and take a look.
We hold bi-monthly social nights of a Saturday evening and Swap Nights twice yearly to aid mission projects. At present, we support seven different missionary organisations.
Children are catered for in various ways. Kid's Church is run fortnightly on a rotating basis. The children remain in church for the first song and when we celebrate our monthly communion service. On alternate Sundays, the children have activities to complete in a folder or sometimes there is a kid's talk in church by various people. There is a small nursery room where the smaller children can play while the parents listen to the service or the parents can take their children to the "old church area" where they have access to watch the service on a TV screen with more freedom for the children to move around.
Our outreach ministries include the Monday morning Come and Chat Women's group, the distribution of the Challenge Magazine in the local Kangaroo Flat area, distribution of Bibles by the Gideons to schools and Aged Care Facilities and the provision of a monthly devotional and singing at one of the Aged Care Facilities. There is a Kid's mentoring program in a local primary school, and each year, some of our congregation are involved in the running of the Warracknabeal Convention at Easter time.
Pastoral Care is also an important focus of our ministry through prayer requests, texts, phone calls, emails and personal visits.
